WSNA’s annual state conference is the highlight of every year, and this year will be no exception. There is so much to celebrate from this past year and to learn for the future. We hope to see you all there!
The conference hotel is the Doubletree Spokane City Center. You reserve a room online, or you can call 1.509.744.2363 or 1.800.222.8733. Be sure to mention that you are attending the Washington School Nutrition Association Annual Conference. Reserve your room early to insure that space is available.
The Office of Superintedent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and WSNA will be jointly offering 10-hour training classes before and during conference. Pre-conference classes will be held on Saturday, August 2 & Sunday, August 3. The three classes being offered as pre-conference classes this year are Human Resources, Serving It Safe, and Production Records & SMI Review Preparation. Menu Planning/Standardized Recipes will be offered all day Monday, concluding Tuesday morning. Basic Nutrition wil be offered Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday. The cost for each of these classes is $40; use the conference registration form (coming soon) to register.
In addition, a special conference rate of $75 will be offered only for those people who attend either the Menu Planning/Standardized Recipes or Basic Nutrition classes. The partial registration will entitle the registrants to attend conference either (1) all day Monday (including Night of Entertainment) and Tuesday morning (including exhibits) or (2) Tuesday afternoon and evening (exhibits and President's Banquet) and Wednesday sessions.
Watch for details about Monday evening's Night of Entertainment. It promises to be another outstanding event. Thank you to our industry partners for your support of this event.
Exhibits this year will be held at the Group Health Exhibit Hall at the Spokane Covention Center (attached to the conference hotel).. As always, they will be informative and fun.
