"Move It . . . and Grow Stronger Together "

WSNA’s annual state conference is the highlight of every year, and this year will be no exception. In fact, this year will be very special since it is our 50th Annual State Conference, and we plan to celebrate! We hope to see you all there!

May 16, 2011 Hotel Update: The conference hotel block is booked. WSNA has negotiated a group rate at an overflow hotel, The Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, 100 Columbus Street. Reservations at the conference rate may be made by calling the hotel at 360.694.8341. Be sure to mention Washington School Nutrition Association when you make the reservation. This hotel is just two blocks from the conference hotel.

The conference hotel is the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 West Sixth. Phone: 360.993-4500; FAX: 360.993.4484. Conference rates are: Single/Double: $134; $10 for each additional person (3rd & 4th). Clicking on this link will take you directly to the site for on-line reservations. If you phone in your reservation, be sure to mention that you are attending the Washington School Nutrition Association Annual Conference. Reserve your room early to insure that space is available. Hotel reservation deadline is July 1.

AMTRAK is offering reduced rates for registrants who wish to travel to Vancouver using their service. You will find more information on how to take advantage of this discount here. Please note that travel using the discount cannot be booked via the internet.

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and WSNA will once again be jointly offering training classes before and during conference. We anticipate that there will be 10-hour classes as in the past. In addition, we hope to add some shorter classes that will meet the Key Area requirements for moving to Level 2 Certification. Pre-conference classes will be held on Saturday, July 23 & Sunday, July 24. Information about the classes to be offered this year will be posted here later .

Watch for details about Monday evening's Night of Entertainment. It promises to be another outstanding event. Thank you to our industry partners for your support of this event.

Exhibits this year will be held at the Clark County Event Center. Busses will be provided, or you may choose to drive to the event. Parking will be complimentary at the Event Center. As always, they will be informative and fun.
