We are pleased to invite you to the 49th annual Washington School Nutrition Association (WSNA) conference that will be held at the Doubletree Hotel - Spokane City Center from August 2 through August 4, 2010. The exhibits show will be held at the Group Health Exhibit Hall (Spokane Convention Center) on Tuesday, August 2, 2010, from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. The Conference hotel is the Doubletree Hotel - Spokane City Center. The hotel is connected to the Group Health Exhibit Hall via a sky bridge on the third floor. A direct link to make reservations on line will be posted here soon, or reservations in the room block can be made by calling 866.986.8083. Be sure to mention that you are attending the WSNA Conference in order to get group rates. You can also earn Hilton Honor points for your stay.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for you to promote your products and services as well as develop some valuable relationships with our child nutrition team members who serve the children of Washington every day. Nearly 500 WSNA and SNA members are expected to attend. Our membership is made up of team members from all levels of the school nutrition services programs in Washington and surrounding states.
Exhibitors sponsor the Night of Entertainment on Monday, August 2. Two complimentary tickets will be included for each paid booth. Please plan to attend this special event. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet more of our members. Further information regarding the Night of Entertainment will be posted at a later date.
If you are exhibiting food items, please plan to show foods that can be served as a part of the child nutrition program. Foods that are of minimal nutritional value and not allowed are carbonated beverages, chewing gum, some water ices, certain candies, jellies and marshmallow candies, fondant, licorice, spun candy and candy coated popcorn.
Exhibit booths (10' x 10') include a 6' draped display table and a sign. The official decorator for the show is LCD Exposition Services, and they will contact confirmed exhibitors to contract for specific needs. Set-up is from 1 pm to 5 pm on Monday, August 2.
Please make your reservations and payments on or before May 15, 2010, in order to take advantage of the lower exhibit fee. Booth assignments will be awarded on a first-paid, first-served basis. If you have questions, please contact Kathy Buchanan, WSNA Executive Director, wsna@comcast.net, (509) 926-9177.
The Association values its ties with industry, and we appreciate the part each of you plays in making our annual conference a success. We look forward to seeing you in August in Spokane.
